Uganda has a high malaria burden and a high demand for antimalarials, and is actively pursuing intervention policies.  The country has a highly regulated market and strong provision of antimalarials in both the public and community-based sectors.  Uganda was one of the pilot countries for the "factory gate" subsidy of ACTs through the AMFm from 2010-2013.
